On 24th of May, Martha C. Nussbaum will receive an honorary degree from UHasselt. On the eve of the ceremony, she will talk about her life and work during a Q&A session. A unique opportunity to ask your question to one of the world’s most renowned philosophers!
Martha C. Nussbaum is currently the Ernst Freund Distinguished Service Professor of Law and Ethics at the University of Chicago. Professor Nussbaum is well-known for her work on the capabilities approach (an alternative approach to welfare economics) and a leading voice in the debate on global justice, feminism, ethics (including animal rights) and emotions. Her publications include ‘The Fragility of Goodness’ (1986) and ‘Political Emotions. Why Love Matters For Justice’ (2013).
Martha Nussbaum isn’t a thinker detached from real life, but someone who travels the world to talk about today’s most pressing issues. With a sharp, clear and engaging voice.
