Strategic programs (SP)

Autoimmunity and disease markers (sp1) : involves the study of immune regulation, immune based therapeutics and the identification of new disease markers.
Protection and repair of the central nervous system (sp2): neurodegenerative processes, injured oligodendrocytes, neurokines and neurotransmitters, and repair strategies such as stem cell therapy are all investigated within sp2.
Clinical aspects of multiple sclerosis (sp3): sp3 implies clinical studies and rehabilitation research in MS, in collaboration with the rehabilitation research centre of the PHL and the rehabilitation and MS centre in Overpelt (MS network Limburg).
Biosensor development (sp4): is performed in close collaboration with IMO.
