IMO-IMOMEC of the Hasselt University participates in the 'PV op Maat' project, together with other research centers: Nederlandse organisatie voor Toegepast Natuurwetenschappelijk Onderzoek - TNO (lead partner), IMEC Leuven, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven - KUL, Holst Centre, Jülich Forschungszentrum, Zuyd Hogeschool, Technische Universiteit Eindhoven , stichting Energieonderzoek Centrum Nederland - ECN. With the financial support of Interreg Vlaanderen-Nederland - EFRO, the provinces Noord Brabant (the Netherlands), Vlaams-Brabant (Belgium), Flemish and the Dutch province Limburg, the ministery of economic affairs of the Netherlands and the ministery of Noordrijn-Westfalen.

This research project aims to adapt photo-voltaic solar cells to the environment in which they are used. There is a lot of demand from the construction and energy sectors to integrate solar cells into building components.(Interreg project  R-6658 - € 7.047.000).
