Functional metal oxides

Metal oxides can show a vast variety of properties, e.g. from insulators over semiconductors to electronic conductors or even superconductors. The applications are equally variated. Examples of metal oxides applications that are investiged, are given hereafter:
- Transparent conducting oxides (TCO) as electrodes for e.g. photovoltaics
- High K oxides for CMOS, DRAM or Flash memories
- Nanostructured ferroelectric and multiferroic oxides for data storage applications
- (Semi)conducting oxides for thin film transistors etc
- Mott transition / MIT (metal - insulator transition) oxides
- Dielectric oxides and electrode materials for energy storage purposes
