Protective, bio & chemo-resistant multifunctional coatings

In many engineering applications functional interfaces and surfaces play important role for tuning the material reaction to its environment or to external loads by using specific material properties. Examples are mechanical, electrical, electrochemical, sensory, protective chemical, and biological and environmental coatings. Such thin films can be used in various industrial domains ranging from electronics (heat spreaders, insulation, nano-connects) automotive industries (smart sensing, thermal and mechanical protection , optical coatings), but also biotechnology and nanomedicine (antibacterial coatings, chemical and biological protection layers, catalytic layers), environmental protection (electrochemical materials, membranes) etc. In the portfolio of IMOMEC we offer wide range of possible coating applications starting from carbon and nanodiamond this films to layers of metallic oxides, piezoelectric and ferroelectric actuation. These films are prepared by PVD and CVD techniques.
