- development and characterisation of novel generation solar cells and other prototype semiconductor devices : LEDs, transistors, sensors, nanowires,.. using non-conventional semiconductors in glove-box lab and printable electronics lab (in collaboration with XIOS)
- study of nanoscale electrical and photovoltaic properties with advanced SPM-techniques (C-AFM, EFM, KFM,..)
- study of electronic structure and defect levels in functional organic materials and inorganic/organic hybrid systems with ultra-sensitive electro-optical characterisation techniques (CPM, PDS, FTPS) in collaboration with WBGM
- morphological characterisation of functional organic materials and inorganic/organic hybrid material systems with advanced characterisation techniques (SEM, TEM, XRD, AFM, SPM,..) in collaboration with ELPHYC
- study of electrical (transport-)properties in thin films and prototype semiconductor devices of functional organic materials and inorganic/organic hybrid materials with DC/AC electrical measurement techniques, as a function of temperature, gas,…
- study of stability, reliability of functional organic materials and inorganic/organic hybrid materials and solar cells with high-resolution in-situ measurements (accelerated ageing, humidity,..)
