International workshop ABMTRANS ‘17

On Tuesday, May 16, 2016, the eighth edition of the international Conference ANT will take place in Madeira (Portugal). The four-day conference will bring together scientists, engineers and managers from across the world to discuss the latest findings in ‘Ambient Systems, Networks and Technologies’ within eighteen workshops.
The Transportation Research Institute organizes the workshop ABMTRANS (Agent-based Mobility, Traffic and Transportation Models, Methodologies and Applications), which will be held for the sixth time. During this workshop, new research results and novel ideas related to the practice of agent-based traffic and transportation will be presented. What are the latest technological developments?
You can submit your paper until Saturday January 28, 2017. After the conference, all papers will be published by Elsevier Science in the open-access Procedia Computer Science series on-line.
Madeira, a Portuguese Portuguese archipelago, is a popular year-round island resort with many unique destinations such as the Laurisilva forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known as the "Garden Island" for its remarkable flora and fauna, the region is visited every year by about one million tourists. The islands is also noted for its mild year-long climate, wine and historical and cultural value. Funchal, the picturesque capital of Madeira, is situated on the south coast of the island and is one of Atlantic Oceans most popular cruise ship ports. Although, Madeira is part of Europe. It is located only 520 km from the African coast while being approximately 1,000 km from the European continent.
