By public transport 

By train from Brussels airport to Brussels railway station (by Airport City Express)

On arrival to Brussels Airport, take the 'Airport City Express' to Brussels North Station ('Brussel-Noord/Bruxelles-Nord'). This train runs 4 times per hour. The trip takes about 21 minutes and costs € 2,50. First train at 5h31, last train at 00h20.

By train from Brussels to Hasselt

From Brussels North Station (‘Brussel-Noord/Bruxelles-Nord’), take the train to Hasselt. This direct train runs 2 times per hour. It arrives in Hasselt after approximately 70 minutes. Please make sure that you are in the right compartment: in Landen the train splits: the rear end heads on to Liège while the front end goes to Hasselt. Check before Landen (the third stop from Brussels North Station) whether you are in the right compartment. First train at 5h18 (arrival in Hasselt at 6h29), last train at 22h39 (arrival in Hasselt at 23h58). The train from Brussels North Station to Hasselt comes from Bruges and Ghent and passes through Brussels South Station ('Brussel-Zuid/Bruxelles-Midi') twice each hour, and Brussels Central Station twice each hour.

By train from Liège (Guillemins) to Hasselt

Take the direct train to Antwerp. This train runs every hour and arrives in Hasselt after approximately 60 minutes. First train at 6h20 (arrival in Hasselt at 7h16), last train leaves at 22h31 (arrival in Hasselt at 23h38).

By train from Antwerp Central to Hasselt

Take the direct train to Liège. This train runs every hour and arrives in Hasselt after approximately 75 minutes. The first train leaves at 6h31 (arrival in Hasselt at 7h38), the last train leaves at 22h31 (arrival in Hasselt at 23h38).

From Hasselt Railway Station to Campus Diepenbeek

Take the bus to campus. From Hasselt Railway Station buses to Campus Diepenbeek leave every 15 minutes between 6h10 and 20h10 (Line 45). The ride to Campus takes 15 minutes. The walk from Campus Diepenbeek to Wetenschapspark 5 takes about 10 minutes.

By Car

From Brussels

On the R0, take the exit Leuven/Liège to highway E40. follow the direction of Leuven and take exit Leuven/Hasselt/Genk to highway E314 in the direction of Aachen. Then (near Lummen) take the E 313 in the direction of Hasselt. Take Exit 28 (Hasselt-Zuid). When leaving the E313 at Exit 28, turn left in the direction of Hasselt and drive for about 100 metres. At the second traffic light, turn right and keep following this road until the fifth traffic light, then turn right again (direction Genk). This road is the "Universiteitslaan". Two kilometres down this road you will find Hasselt University, Campus Diepenbeek on your right hand side. On the roundabout turn left and follow this road until you reseach the T-crossing. Turn left and at the end you can see a parking with the numbers 5 and 7. Drive through. You can see our entrance in the left corner of building 5.    

From Liège 

Take the E 313 in the direction of Antwerp. Take Exit 28 (Hasselt-Zuid). When leaving the E313 at Exit 28, turn left in the direction of Hasselt and drive for about 100 metres. At the second traffic light, turn right and keep following this road until the fifth traffic light, then turn right again (direction Genk). This road is the "Universiteitslaan". Two kilometres down this road you will find Hasselt University, Campus Diepenbeek on your right hand side. On the roundabout turn left and follow this road until you reseach the T-crossing. From Germany

Take the E 314 in the direction of Antwerp. Take exit 31 (Genk-Centrum) and turn (N76). Follow the N76 approximately seven kilometres until after you crossed the Albert canal. Than turn right at the traffic lights into the direction of Hasselt (= N702). After 5 kilometres, turn left at the traffic lights. Than turn left on the roundabout and follow this road. Turn left at the T-crossing. At the end you will see a parking with the numbers 5 and 7. Enter the parking. Our entrance is situated in the left corner of building 5.
