Research areas - UHasselt

The research of the institute is divided into three thematic clusters:

·          Work and organizations: research on diversity-related issues at the macro level of the labour market (e.g. the combination of work and family, pregnancy-related discrimination, women's careers in the IT and financial sector) and the meso level of organizations (eg diversity in Flemish SMEs, ethnic entrepreneurship, discursive construction of diversity, structures and processes of diversity and control).

·          Educational management: research on diversity and equality in (higher) education and at the organizational level of schools and universities.

·          Belgian/Flemish society: research into the perception of equal opportunities in the Belgian population, monitoring of diiversity and equal opportunities policy, and research into the integration of ethnic minorities in Flanders.
