Innovation is no longer a choice for companies, but an important condition in order to survive in a free market economy. Hasselt University and the Limburg academies have engaged themselves and taken on the role of catalyst. Knowledge institutions do not only train people, but are also in a unique position to bridge the distance between research and the corporate world.
This is why the Tech Transfer Office (TTO) was founded in 2007. On the one hand its purpose is to encourage Limburg researchers and to coach them in making the transition to the corporate world, while on the other hand it can help entrepreneurs to engage with knowledge institutions. Such sound knowledge and technology transfer ensures that research results and new developments are being put on the market. From TTO's perspective we are more and more convinced that we fulfil a key role by coaching researchers and entrepreneurs within our innovation network.
Are you an entrepreneur looking for expertise? Are you a researcher looking to have your research results translated to industrial applicable solutions? If so, please have a look on this website to see what TTO has to offer you.
