3rd SIMID Workshop
The Center for Statistics, Hasselt University & The Centre for Health Economic Research and Modeling Infectious Diseases, University of Antwerp are proud to present the 3rd SIMID workshop (Simulation Models of Infectious Disease Transmission and Control Processes) with focus on Statistical Methodology
This three-day workshop covers the use of statistical methodology in infectious disease epidemiology. The workshop is organized as 30 invited talks and a contributed poster session.
Topics include longitudinal and correlated data analysis, survival methods, spatial statistics, symbolic regression to quantify uncertainty with applications to epidemic data, vaccine studies, health economics, epidemic data, and serological and social contact data.
Speakers include Leonhard Held, Mark Jit, Mirjam Kretzchmar, Piero Manfredi, Dennis te Beest, Katya Vladislavleva, Jacco Wallinga and several members of the Center for Statistics and the Centre for Health Economic Research and Modelling Infectious Diseases.
The workshop is followed by an ECDC satellite workshop on the epidemiology of the varicella zoster virus in Europe.
