Participation in a
1. courses organized by the Doctoral Schools at Hasselt University
Always sign the attendance form which will be available during each session of the course. You will receive a certificate from the Doctoral School after you filled out an online evaluation. The link for the evaluation will be send to you after the last session of the course.
2. courses organized at Hasselt University (not by the Doctoral Schools) or at another university/company/SOC….
If you want to receive a certificate from the doctoral school, check if this course is eligible for the doctoral school program before you follow the course by contacting Stefanie Kerkhofs (e-mail).
If this course is eligible and you want to receive a certificate, send the following documents by e-mail to email@example.com:
- Fill out this document
- A certificate of attendance with date and duration of the course must be presented(scanned version). If the certificate of attendance is not availabe, the organizer of the course of your promoter signs a standard form to confirm your participation.
- A confirmation that this course is eligible for the doctoral school (e-mail Stefanie kerkhofs)
1 course = 8 hours. If a specific course does not last for 8 hours, you may participate in similar courses and add up the hours to eventually fulfil the requirements.
For every 'minimal requirement' you need to apply this strategy
Any questions? Please contact Stefanie Kerkhofs

If you would like to enjoy the DS curriculum:
Future organised courses: same strategy as above
Attended courses in the past: send all the information for each course (type of course, where, when, course hours,...) in a file to Sven Hendrix and Stefanie Kerkhofs. You will be notified with the valid courses for which you need to apply again (after approval) the same strategy as described above.
The 2 obligatory courses must be attended.
