Binnen het Agentschap Wegen en Verkeer en het Vlaamse departement Mobiliteit en Openbare Werken loopt sinds 2002 een programma om de gevaarlijke punten op het wegennet aan te passen. Het Instituut voor Mobiliteit (IMOB) van de UHasselt onderzocht het effect van de herinrichting van deze gevaarlijke punten op de verkeersveiligheid.

Tuition fee 2011 programme

Participants without a scholarship: 1,250 euro (for people from developing countries), 2,500 euro (for people from developed countries) 

Tuition fee includes:
  • Programme-related excursions, including lunch 
  • Welcome reception, goodbye diner 
  • Evening activities included in the programme
  • Course material
  • Transport to and from campus by public transport 

Participants with a scholarship: 0 euro

Scholarship includes:
  • Tuition fee
  • All accommodation (including breakfast) for the duration of the programme (12 nights: check in: 9th Oct., check out: 21st Oct. 2011)
  • Transport to and from the airport (not other destinations)
  • Diners, included in the programme
  • Travel costs: flight tickets in Economy class (up to a max. of 1.000 EUR)
  • Per diem for lunch and diner cost (restricted amount)  
Scholarship does not include:
  • Possible additional accommodation before/after the programme
  • Lunch and diners not included in the programme
  • Personal excursions
  • Visa costs, travel Insurance, letters of recommendation for visa, ...
  • Travel costs to and from airport in home country

In 2011, 15 participants could get a scholarship for this course! Only participants from countries on the VLIR-UOS country list could be considered for a scholarship:

  • Asia (8 countries): Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Philippines, India, Indonesia, Palestinian, Vietnam
  • Latin America (11 countries): Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Nicaragua, Peru, Surinam 

 

Application procedure 2011 programme

To enrol, please use the registration form (at the bottom of this webpage). On the form you have to choose between application for scholarship or non-scholarship. The decision to grant a scholarship lies with Hasselt University. In order to encourage participants from as many countries as possible, a maximum of 2 scholarships will be granted per country. Also a maximum of 1 scholarship will be granted per organisation.The deadline for scholarship application is 1st July 2011, the deadline for non-scholarship application is 15th September 2011 (only possible if no visa for Belgium is required)!

Around 15th July, all scholarship applicants will automatically receive an email from us to inform them whether their application was accepted or not .

 

Payment procedure

For those who were accepted for non-scholarship participation, a tuition fee of 1,250 (from developing country) or 2,500 (from developed country) euros is required. Please note that the tuition fee has to be paid before the start of the programme. The deadline for payment (non-scholarship participants) is 1st October 2011.
