Wednesday 11 March 2015 – from 5 pm - Hasselt University (Campus Diepenbeek, building D)
Each year, one night in March, the Agora becomes the place to be for those who want to discover and taste other cultures. The World Evening has become a tradition, as it celebrated its 10th birthday last year. The 2015 edition took place on 11 March 2015. Check out our photo album!
What is the World Evening? It's an entertaining and friendly moment between Belgian and international students and staff. Students from all horizons will introduce you to their culture and traditions through self-prepared appetizers, typical clothing and special activities.
- 5-6.30 pm: Meet & Eat: meet our international students & staff and taste their delicious traditional food!
- 6.30-8 pm: World Show: Interactive, intercultural activities and presentations for all, with music, dance, an intercultural fashion show, presentations and other surprises!
- 8-9 pm: Dessert & Turkish tea- & Ethiopian coffee ceremony
Cook, taste & win!
The Cook&Win contest has also become a tradition, after the success of the past two years: all participants can vote for their favourite country in terms of food. The winning country chose and name one dish that would be served in the campus restaurants by Horeservi.
