On behalf of the Faculty of Medicine and Life Sciences, we are excited to announce our upcoming symposium: Autoimmunity – Celebrating the network. This symposium will be organized in the context of the honorary doctorate to be awarded to Prof. Yehuda Shoenfeld (Zabludowicz Center for Autoimmune Diseases and Tel-Aviv University). The symposium will take place on May 29th 2018, the day before the academic ceremony, at Hasselt University, campus Diepenbeek (Agoralaan, building D).
This symposium is intended for everyone interested in autoimmunity, from fundamental research to the clinic and everything in between. The main focus of the day is to highlight partnerships between Hasselt University and both academic and industrial partners, and how these interactions enforce excellent research.
Participation is free of charge, but online registration is obligatory before May 21st.
For the morning session, young investigators (master students, PhD students and postdocs) are encouraged to submit an abstract with their latest results in autoimmunity research. Six abstracts will be selected for oral presentation and the other abstracts will be presented during a poster session. Prizes for best oral and best poster presentation will be awarded at the end of the day.
Abstracts can be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org before May 14th, using the template.
