Student jobs on campus

Do you want to earn some extra money? Hasselt University offers various student jobs within the institution throughout the year, so be sure to register in good times via your digital student file if you are interested. You will receive regular job ads by email. Do you have scholarship student status? Then we will try to give you priority in order to give you an extra financial boost. As a student, you are allowed to work 50 days per calendar year, which can be spread however you like throughout the year and between different employers. That way, you only pay a minimum amount of social security.

Where possible, foreign students can also be given student jobs at Hasselt. Non-EEA students who want to work in Belgium must be in possession for a work permit. During the academic holidays, this work permit requirement ceases to apply. Foreign students from EEA countries or Switzerland have the same rights and obligations as Belgian students. For more information about applying for a work permit, click here or go to the municipal or town hall of the place where you are staying.

The job service of UHasselt will use a new platform to communicate about the available internal and external student jobs and summer jobs. This platform is called Jobteaser Career Center.

Register yourself with your student mail to get access to this exclusive platform. When your profile is completed, you can apply directly for the jobs you are interested in.

More information and a complete instruction manual can be found in your digital student file. All legal information can be consulted on the website of Jobteaser (link invoegen).

It’s important that you also still register yourself via your digital student file for the administrative follow-up.

External student jobs
