Newsletter | Apr 08, 2020

This newsletter provides an overview of all upcoming activities for PhD students organized by the doctoral schools, links to other potentially interesting events or information, and relevant calls.

More details on, and registration links for, upcoming activities are available on the websites of the doctoral schools. When you enrol for a doctoral school activity, please make sure to be present. You are allowed to cancel your enrolment up to 1 week before the activity by sending an email to doctoralschools@uhasselt.be. In case of no-show or cancellation later than 1 week before the activity, a fee of 250 euros can be charged. Details

Please note

All doctoral school activities taking place between mid-March and the end of April have either been digitalized or postponed to a later date in Fall. For activities planned in May, June, July and August, we await further guidelines from both Hasselt University and the Belgian government.
For each specific workshop, course or information session, we aim to find the most appropriate solution, based on the activity’s content and duration, as well as on the preference and possibilities of the trainer/speaker(s). Participants are always notified by email on the decision which has been taken. For activities with upcoming registration deadlines, we have added information on the format below, as far as possible. The edition of PhDrinks that was planned on June 5 will be postponed to a yet to be determined date in Fall, as the main goal of this initiative is to (physically) bring people together.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us at all times, on doctoralschools@uhasselt.be.
Thanks for your understanding and the best of luck in both your professional and personal life in these exceptional circumstances.

In this webinar, Dr Karolien Notebaert will shed light on how the brain’s mental state is influenced by this challenging time. Based on scientific studies, she will explain what each one of us can do to significantly improve their mental health and strength in general. This webinar is a mixture of theory and practice. All participants will receive a handout containing concrete tips that are easily implemented in daily life. It is possible to participate anonymously. CALL
