Geert Pirotte retrieved his master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology with a thesis on bisurea based supramolecular hydrogels supervised by Prof. Dr. Rint Sijbesma. He finalized his master studies as a visiting researcher at the Institut Européen de Chimie et Biologie (IECB) in Pessac/Bordeaux, France, investigating aromatic helical foldamers in the group of Dr. Ivan Huc. In 2013, he joined the DSOS group for a PhD study on the implementation of flow chemistry for the production of organic photovoltaic materials. During his PhD, with the financial support of the Rotary International and the FWO, he resided 5 months in the group of Prof. Dr. Seth Marder at Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, USA. He successfully defended his PhD in September 2017 and is currently continuing his work as a post-doc in the DSOS group.
