Dionex DX-120 coupled to a Perkin Elmer Elan-DRC-e ICP-MS spectrometer
IC-ICP-MS is a hyphenated analytical technique for the quantitative analysis of elemental species after separation anions and cations at the trace level. An ion chromatograph(see IC) is used for the separation of cations and anions. The ion chromatograph is interfaced with an ICP-MS (see ICP-MS) for the detection of the separated ions at the trace level.
Typical applications
- Quantitative analysis of Cr(VI) in water and fine dust samples
- Speciation studies
- Speciation of arsenic
