Bruker S4 Explorer
XRF is a non-destructive elemental analytical technique for the quantitative and qualitative determination of solids and liquids. Elements (> F) are excited by X-rays. Secondary X-rays are released from the sample as a result of their return to the ground state. The X-rays are element specific and their intrensities are related with the concentration. Standardless calibration is possible using adapted software.
Typical applications
- Qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis of the filler material in paint, plastics, rubber.
- Qualitative analysis of unknown residues.
- Qualitative and quantitative elemental composition of cosmetics, coatings, pigments, inks
