Environmental Economics (EEC) : project R-11522

Title : Meta-research in environmental science and economics (R-11522)
Abstract: Multiple empirical studies have raised concerns about the reliability of published empirical findings in various fields, including economics, psychology, and the biomedical sciences. One possible explanation for the unreliability of published empirical findings is selective reporting, such as p-hacking or publication bias. The extent of selective reporting in the environmental sciences, however, is largely unexplored. This PhD thesis aims to analyse the reliability of published empirical findings in the environmental sciences. The ultimate goal is to strengthen the evidence base for evidence-based policymaking.
