FAQ

How long should a presentation ideally be?
A presentation ideally lasts 10 minutes.

Do I have to bring specific equipment?
Because of the hybrid character of the conference, we ask people who join us on campus to bring their laptop and headphones. Both equipments are required in order to make hybridity a succes.

Is it possible to submit an abstract of a thesis instead of a paper?
Yes. Abstracts from PhD dissertations are also welcome.

Is it possible to submit both an abstract and a poster?
Yes!

Do we require selected abstracts to be followed by a paper?
No.

Will the abstracts be published in a book of abstracts?
No. However, we may publish the selected abstracts on our website. This will only happen when you have explicitly agreed with this.

Are there any travel scholarships available?
No. Unfortunately, we cannot provide travel or accommodation grants for the conference. However, because of the blended setting, it will be possible for researchers to both digitally and physically join the conference.

Do I have to pay a conference fee?
No. due to the financial support we receive from the Flemish doctoral school, we are able to make this conference free of registration fee. Lunch and refreshments are also free of charge.

Is it required to present a covid safe ticket?
When you are joining us on campus, your covid safe ticket will be asked at the beginning of the conference day. Wearing a mouth mask is mandatory during the whole conference.
