Phase 1 is related to the methodological development of a Big data driven theory of mobility demand which is based on a collection of massive repositories of spatial-temporal data recording several aspects of human mobility. It also enables scalable mining of the very large data and allows for a realistic simulator execution.
Phase 2 is related with the development of a novel agent-based simulation model and transforms the Big data driven theory into the simulator, contributing to the development of models and techniques that are sensitive to behavior and enable the calculation of scenarios. This phase is also involved in the development of novel benchmarking and evaluation standard that is grounded on Big data.
Phase 3 finalizes the novel approaches and applies them to each of the scenarios; it also demonstrates and evaluates the impact of the simulation model.
