Inclusive Excellence in Higher Education

Logo UHasselt Universiteit Hasselt - Knowledge in action

On May 28, Franklin A. Tuitt will become honorary doctor of UHasselt. On Monday (May 27) he will give a lecture at Campus Diepenbeek. A unique opportunity to get a fresh perspective on inclusive excellence in higher education.

Franklin A. Tuitt (University of Denver) is considered an authority when it comes to the question of making higher education more equity-minded and inclusive. Over the years, he has built an impressive track-record of helping universities to be opportunity conscious in every possible way. Professor Tuitt even served as Associate Provost for Inclusive Excellence at the University of Denver.

Questions which he will address during his lecture include: How to create campus environments where students have the ability to be the best they can be? How to achieve inclusive excellence? What are the consequences for our teaching and learning? This lecture will not only shed a light on the idea of ‘inclusive excellence’, but also offer some guidance and inspiration for UHasselt. There will also be time for all your questions, of course.

The lecture will be in English.
