For this edition of the 'Business Lunch', we will have three speakers from the field of Health and Life Sciences:

Jan Van der Goten obtained his graduate degree from The University of Leuven (Master in Biology). Currently he is the Head of the Janssen Campus and Strategic Partnership. In this role he takes on the responsibility of the strategy and operations of Janssen Pharmaceutica Campus Beerse and the collaborations with their major strategic partners in the Belgium Health Care ecosystem.

Tom Broekmans had an education in physical therapy, whereafter he started his PhD in biomedical sciences. After this training period, he started working as quality and patient safety manager in Asster. Asster is a provider in mental health care and includes, besides a psychiatric hospital, a psychiatric care home and participates in mobile care teams. After more than four years, he transferred to the mental health care team of the Brothers of Charity. Here, his job is to support the process management of care applications of our 11 mental health care facilities. This includes formulating recommendations for management teams, operationalizing the decisions taken by their management team, representing the organization and/or sector at the various authorities and being the point of contact for the software suppliers.

An Stevens started her career in Leuven, as a researcher and trainer in cardiac rehabilitation. From there, a lot has happened: she moved away from the 'alma mater', family, teaching teenagers, PhD @ Hasselt University, physical training in the municipality of Hoeselt, VIB, and so much more. Currently, she combines her expertise with the technical skills of her colleagues in Research Engineering at Maastricht University.

To give as many people the possibility to attend, this event will be organized online.
