BOF launches its brand new programme, the Civic PhD programme, which cofunds projects with a PhD finality, in collaboration with non-academic partners. Within the 'Civic PhDs' programme, it will be possible to collaborate with external partners with an economic or societal finality, such as Flemish, Belgian and international companies, NGOs, courts of law, etc.
The BOF Civic PhD provides co-funding of personnel costs and limited operating costs. More specifically, the non-academic partner(s) contributes minimally 50% of the costs.
As this is a brand new funding format, note that BOF now launches a pilot call and that the procedure and regulations may change after this call.
- Applications should be jointly submitted by an UHasselt supervisor (cf. article 10 of the UHasselt doctoral regulations) and a project leader affiliated to the collaborating third party.
- Pre-submission: 06.06.2019 (5PM)
- Intake meetings: 11.06.2019 (Campus Hasselt)
- Final submission: 16.09.2019 (5PM)
