Pre-Announcement: Interreg North-West Europe Second Call for Projects

What?

Interreg North-West Europe (NWE) is a European Territorial Cooperation Programme funded by the European Commission with the ambition to make the North-West Europe area a key economic player and an attractive place to work and live, with high levels of innovation, sustainability and cohesion. It invests EUR 370 million of European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in activities based on the cooperation of organisations from eight countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Interreg North-West Europe will open its second call for proposals for the 2021-2027 programming period on Monday 14 November 2022. This call will close on Thursday 9 February 2023.


Interreg NWE is looking for transnational cooperation initiatives that can deliver concrete results for the North-West Europe area. If you have an idea that could make one of the programme objectives a reality, get in touch with one of the contact points and start developing your proposal. 

The priorities are:
1: Climate and evironment
2: Energy transition
3: Circular economy
4: innovation and resilience
5: Inclusive society

In november Interreg North-West Europe organizes a 'Project Ideas Forum', a networking and information event, on November 29 in Düsseldorf and the have launched an online community to interact and get in touch with other organizations interested in applying.

Who?

Participating project partners can be any public or private organisation that are legal entities. A project should involve a variety of partner types in line with the target groups specified for the respective specific objective. 

For all objectives, the involvement of the following type of partners is considered to be of significant importance:
- Local, regional and national public authorities
- The research sector (both public and private)
- SMEs and business support organisations
- Sectoral associations, NGOs, lobby organisations and citizen groups
