Word as a processor for your dissertation

This course was organized as a part of the PhD efficiency trajectory (25/04/22 - 29/04/22) for PhD students of the Faculty of Law. It is however open to all PhD students from the Doctoral School of Behavioral Sciences & Humanities.

Other courses included in this trajectory are:

• Working with Legaltech Legidex

During this advanced Word course by ECT, you will learn how to handle the advanced features of Microsoft's well-known word processor. You will learn how to apply all functions in short exercises. Topics that will be dealt with are:

• working with large files
• version control
• styles
• linguistic functionalities
• concise: graphical functionalities

At the end of the day (16:00-16:30), Loth Van der Auwermeulen en Jonas Voorter (Faculty of Law) will present a template for dissertation within the Faculty of Law. This part is optional if not relevant for your faculty/school.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, participants will:

• be able to work with large files and styles
• know about version control, linguistic functionalities and have insight in graphical functionalities

An important part of preparing for any further professional step is becoming (more) aware of the competences you have developed and/or want to develop. In the current workshop, the following competences from the UHasselt competency overview are actively dealt with:
