What?

The John and Alice Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement is awarded for scientific work on the environment, energy and health, resulting in important benefits for humanity. The Prize is endowed by gifts from the John and Alice Tyler Charitable Trusts, and awardees are chosen annually by the Executive Committee. The University of Southern California administers the Tyler Prize. The Annual Award is $250,000. Joint winners share the cash prize.

Nominations for the 2023 cycle have opened. The submission deadline is the 12th of August 2022. All nominees will be considered for three years beginning with the first year of nomination. 

Regulations?

Submissions of nominations must be sent electronically to nominations@tylerprize.org. All materials should be submitted in English. 

A submission consists of:
  • Full names, addresses etc. of Nominee (individual or institution) and Nominator
  • A one to two-page summary of the individual's or institution's accomplishments, discrovery, improvement, etc.
  • A list of 3 to 5 individuals or organizations who would be ready to provide supporting letters should the nominee advance to the short list
  • For an individual: a CV should be attached. For an organization: brochures, datashets, etc should be attached.
