Symposium on Technology-supported Rehabilitation
Saturday 29th of November 2014
Hasselt University, Belgium
We would like to invite you to the symposium on technology-supported rehabilitation, encompassing robotic and sensor-based technology as well as motor learning based serious gaming. This symposium is organized by the INTERREG Flanders - the Netherlands project 'I-TRAVLE', which is a cooperation between the following partners: Hasselt University (REVAL/BIOMED & EDM), the Rehabilitation and MS Center Overpelt and Adelante Centre of Expertise in Rehabilitation in Hoensbroek. More information can be found on the I-TRAVLE website.
In a Belgian context, it is following a previous symposium entitled ‘Serious Gaming Technology as Clinical Tool in Rehabilitation’ (organization ULB et al, February 2014, ICT4Health project).
We are welcoming active participation and therefore launch a call for abstracts describing current developments and clinical applications, that can be briefly presented and/or demonstrated during the symposium. All abstracts on innovative research and clinical experiences in the field of technology-supported rehabilitation with an active involvement of the patient, that are based on therapeutic principles, are eligible for submission. Although I-TRAVLE focuses on rehabilitation in persons with neurological conditions, we welcome contributions in a broad domain of rehabilitation applications.
