1. Interuniversity job market for young researchers

After four successful editions, the 5 Flemish universities again organise an interuniversity job market for young researchers. The 2024 edition will open its physical doors in Ghent (Flanders Expo) on March 28, 2024 (12:00-20:00). More details can be found here.

2. Pitch yourself! Connect and interact with non-academic professionals

This unique event is a combination of a pitching workshop, a mock job interview, and a networking reception. On May 21, participants learn how to best introduce themselves in a workshop by Dr Robin Lefebvre (Grow2Excel). During the panel session on May 28, the pitch is put into practice. Participants introduce themselves to a panel consisting of representatives from companies such as Datwyler, VAB, Deloitte, Ascento, followed by questions and feedback. The closing networking reception offers the chance to cool down and talk informally to all parties involved. More information can be found online.

3. Let's Talk Science, a taste of science communication - save the date: 02-04/07/24

Want to get a taste of the world of science communication? This three-day event is all about communicative competences consisting of a plenary session and a maximum of 2 workshops. The plenary session will be attended by researchers from all over Flanders, inviting them to share ideas and experiences. The workshops give you the opportunity to gain skills such as presentation and interviewing techniques, making posters or writing for non-experts. This year's edition will be hosted at the Ghent University.
