This newsletter provides an overview of all upcoming activities for PhD students organised by the doctoral schools and links to other potentially interesting events or information.

1. Connect, share and belong - join the UHasselt PhD Community on WhatsApp!

The UHasselt PhD Community WhatsApp Group is a space for PhD researchers across all faculties to connect informally, share opportunities and useful information and stay up to date with PhD Council initiatives and events. It is a fast and friendly channel to build connections beyond your own department or research group and organize informal social gatherings. Welcome to join!

2. Doctoral school partner in the spotlight: HR Department

The Doctoral Schools collaborate with various partners to offer young researchers a broad and valuable learning experience. One of these valued partners is the HR Department, which supports the personal and professional growth of Hasselt University staff through a wide range of training opportunities and career support services. This offer is also open to PhD researchers and postdoctoral researchers.

Researchers who wish to have HR or Career Center courses acknowledged as part of their Doctoral Schools requirements should submit a request via dsrequirements@uhasselt.be, following the procedure described here.





Looking to broaden your horizon? Our generic competences training offer covers essential skills that bridge the gap between academia and the professional world. These "transferable skills" are generally open to all PhD students and postdocs.
