1. (PhD) Coffee & Connect: 'Made by Human' - The Quality Label of the Future?

As artificial intelligence (AI) and automation increasingly shape our world, could being “Made by Human” become a new mark of quality? Join us on 6 October 2026 (09:30-11:00) for a thought-provoking keynote by Prof. Nicky Dries (KU Leuven and BI Norwegian Business School), exploring how technological change is transforming our ideas about work, talent and human value. You are also warmly invited to start the day with a Welcome Coffee & Connect networking moment (08:30–09:30). Reserve your place before 9 September and join the conversation about what will remain uniquely human in the future of work!

2. Get ready for the new academic year!

Several interesting training opportunities taking place from September on are already open for registration! Discover the full overview in the Summer Deadlines section on the Doctoral Schools website and make sure to register in time!

3. Doctoral school partner in the spotlight: EURECA-PRO

The Doctoral Schools collaborate with various partners to offer young researchers a broad and valuable learning experience. One of these valued partners is the EURECA-PRO Alliance, which brings together nine European higher education institutions committed to responsible consumption and production. Its long-term ambition is to establish a joint, virtual and fully integrated European campus by 2040.

EURECA-PRO regularly organises activities and training opportunities for early-career researchers. These initiatives offer participants opportunities to develop their research and transversal skills, exchange knowledge and build an international network. An overview of upcoming activities is available on the EURECA-PRO events webpage and through its learning management system.
