The research group Business Informatics is searching for a dynamic and pro-active colleague to perform PhD Research on the topic of Behavioral Analytics and Process Mining. Process Mining is the research domain situated at the intersection of data mining and business process management. It has the goal to extract insights on business processes from process event data. Behavioral Analytics continues on the work of Process Mining and equally starts from event data as its source. However, in contrast to Process Mining, Behavioral Analytics is not restricted to discovering insights into the behavior of business processes. The goal of this project is to study and develop algorithms to discover patterns from event data with the purpose to provide insights into the behavior of people, objects and systems. The topic holds a close connection to the analysis of IoT data.
More information about the topic of Behavioral Analytics can be found at the website of the Event Data and Behavioral Analytics workshop (http://edba.science).
You will be appointed and paid as PhD student.
We offer a Ph.D. scholarship for 2x2 year with intermediate evaluation
