If a defense is not public, it is indicated in the timetable. Only the members of the jury will be admitted and they will sign a confidentiality agreement.
Time and location
The jury defense will take place on 19 June 2026 in building H campus Diepenbeek, Agoralaan. Doors open from 8 am.

Assessment
The assessment of the master's thesis consists of several parts:
Oral defence
A pre-constituted jury (the supervisors are part of it) assesses only the oral defense of the master's thesis during the jury session. In consultation with the members of the jury, the chairman of the jury fills out an assessment form and assigns a score on 20 for this part .
Process and methodology + thesis
The supervisory team assesses the thesis, the progress (the process including a possible internship) and the methodology. They will receive an evaluation form in advance and assign a score on 20 for this part.
Communication and language skills
The lecturer of the master's thesis seminar assesses the student's (written) communication skills (e.g. research design, abstract, academic poster) by means of continuous assessment.
