General Information
The University of Liège’s Department of Movement Sciences (RUCHE unit) is actively engaged in promoting health and physical activity through innovative projects in Belgium and across Europe. By bridging research and practice, the team develops evidence-based solutions tailored to diverse populations. Their expertise combines qualitative approaches (interviews, observations) with quantitative methods (questionnaires, accelerometers) to monitor physical activity. Research has highlighted a clear lack of health promotion by healthcare professionals in the region. Building on this expertise, the ULiège team is committed to advancing preventive health, strengthening the link between science and practice, and supporting initiatives that encourage active, healthy lifestyles across the lifespan.
