What?

The National MS Society is currenty offering two types of Fellowships.

Mentor-Based Postdoctoral Fellowships In Rehabilitation Research - A 5-year award to support mentors and institutions that provide training of postdoctoral fellows in MS research related to rehabilitation. The mentor must hold a faculty appointment at an accredited institution and have adequate research funding and support to provide an appropriate training environment for the postdoctroal fellow. The mentor recruits one or more postdoctoral fellows after the application has been submitted. While the program has a duration of 5 years, support will not usually be provided for more than 3 years. Support consists of salary for the fellow, plus small amounts for travel and mentoring expenses. (pre-application deadline: 20/07/2022)

Biostatistics/Informatics/Data Science Junior Faculty Award
 - Up to 3 years of support for protected time to collaborate with an MS research group to develop expertise in MS clinical trials, real-world evidence, epidemiology, data mining, and/or other related bioinformatics research. Candidates should hold a Ph.D or equivalent in biostatistics, data science, computational biology, informatics or related fields, and are within five years of completion of their terminal degree. Candidates must hold an academic appointment as assistant professor (or equivalent) at a university (or equivalent) at the initiation of the award. The award inclused a partial (25-50% salary support and research support for 3 years (maximum 42.000 USD per year). (pre-application deadline: 11/08/2022)

Application?

For any application with the National MS Society, applicants need to register with the online grants management system. 

Pre-applications are mandatory. The full application deadline follows a week after the pre-application deadline.
