What?

Every year, the UEFA Academy encourages outstanding researchers via their RBFA Knowledge Center to contribute to the development of European football through the UEFA Research Grant Program. They encourage researchers to do funded research in football, on a topic that is of relevance for and in collaboration with one or multiple football federations in Europe.

UEFA Academy annually awards a number of grants of around € 15,000 for individual researchers, and € 20,000 for joint research by up to three researchers from the 55 different UEFA member states.

Who?

This call is open for PhD students and PhD-holding researchers.

Application?

To apply, researchers need a letter of recommendation from one of the 55 European football associations. Therefore, we would like to encourage PhD students or holders of a PhD to create a project with us and submit it to UEFA before the deadline of 15 March 2023.
