BAEF: Research Fellowships

What?

Every year, BAEF offers more than 65 Fellowships to Belgian students and researchers. The research fellowships allow young doctoral or postdoctoral researchers to spend one year to conduct research at a chosen university in the United States.

Funding: $30,000 (doctoral fellows) or $ 45,000 (postdoctoral fellows); in addition, BAEF pays for health insurance coverage on its own insurance policy.

Fellowships must start between July 1, 2024 and September 30, 2024 and Fellows are expected to stay for a period of 12 months in the US.

   

Who?

Applicants should have completed by July 1, 2024 no more than 1 year of their Master’s program.

Eligibility requirements:

• Hold the Belgian nationality;
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree at the time of activation of the Fellowship;
• Have an outstanding academic record;
• Have a good command of the English language.

Application?

Deadline for application: Before 31 October 2023 for research starting in the US between 1 July and 30 September 2024.
