What?

Thanks to the support of the Demoucelle Parkinson Charity, the FWO can again award the FWO – Demoucelle Parkinson Charity PhD fellowship in 2025. This is a PhD fellowship for a promising young researcher whose research topic is biomedical research on Parkinson's disease. Applications in regular FWO calls for PhD fellowships fundamental research or strategic basic research are eligible for this fellowship. 

The FWO – Demoucelle Parkinson Charity PhD fellowship, including bench fee, is financed by the Demoucelle Parkinson Charity. In addition, the Demoucelle Parkinson Charity also offers the laureate of this fellowship a free coaching trajectory (without obligation).

Application?

In order to apply for this call, you need to follow the 2 following steps:

1) Submit a regular application for a PhD Fellowship fundamental research or a PhD Fellowship strategic basic research (submission deadline 3 March 2025, 5 pm CET);

2) Send an e-mail to prijzen@fwo.be before 3 March 2025, 5 pm CET including your application number, the name of the applicant, the English title of your research proposal and a short motivation (max. 100 words) why you wish to be considered for this fellowship. Please put your supervisor and any co-supervisors in cc of this e-mail.
