Data Science Institute (UHasselt). On behalf of the team of Data Science Institure (DSI, UHasselt), we are happy to invite you and your research group to the workshop "Combining infectious disease modelling and AI: Methods and communication", that will be hosted at the VUB campus in Etterbeek, Brussels!
This workshop is jointly organized by colleagues from UHasselt, VUB, and UAntwerpen, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Niel Hens, Prof. Dr. Steven Abrams, Prof. Dr. Pieter Libin, and Prof. Dr. Andrea Torneri.
The workshop will firstly focus on explaining the interplay between mathematical and statistical modeling and AI for disease spread modeling and mitigation and secondly on the challenges and methods for communicating the results to the general public.
While more details about the program will follow, we are happy to announce we will host a poster session to share participants' work on topics related to infectious disease modeling, AI and public health. Pre-registration and abstract submission is open at
