Info session mentoring trajectory 2027

The Doctoral Schools, together with the Career Center, organize another edition of the mentoring trajectory. This trajectory is a great way to help researchers shape their professional identity and career. It is a 1 year career initiative aimed at guiding early career researchers in their transition to both academic and non-academic career paths. Both the academic and civic track of the mentoring programme allows (post)doctoral researchers to be paired up with a mentor from either academia or the corporate world. Past editions have shown that mentoring is not only highly valuable for one’s career journey, but also for a researcher’s personal growth and overall wellbeing. Furthermore, the trajectory also benefits mentors who get the opportunity to step back and gain perspective on their current job situation during the mentor-mentee relationship. 

In case you are interested, you are kindly invited to an online info session in which both a mentor and mentees will share their experiences. This way, you will get a better idea of what the trajectory and different tracks entail and whether it is something you would like to sign up for.

11:20        Testimonial by dr. Suresh Ajmeera; mentee from the civic track in 2024

11:30        Testimonial by dr. Roy Heusschen; mentor from the civic track in 2024

11:40        Testimonial by dr. Axel Faes; mentee in the academic track in 2025

• For early career researchers ( ≥ 2nd year of PhD trajectory) & postdoctoral researchers
