The 5 Flemish universities facilitate a third edition of the Researchpreneur Mindset Bootcamp, helping you to unlock your entrepreneurial potential.

Success starts with the right mindset. The Researchpreneur Mindset is an immersive two-and-a-half-day experience designed to help researchers step outside their academic comfort zones and develop the confidence, resilience, and strategic thinking needed to navigate new opportunities—whether within a company, a spin-off, or a completely new venture.

Timing & format

3 modules:

  • Module 1:  Monday 18th May - 6pm till 7.30pm (Online)
  • Module 2: Friday 29th May - 2pm till Sunday 31st May - 5pm (In-person, residential in Ostend - Hotel Leopold)
  • Module 3: During June (Online self-scheduled 30 min reflection call)

  • For PhD & postdoctoral researchers affiliated with 1 of the Flemish universities

  • PhD researchers and postdocs who are

    • considering entrepreneurship as a career path.

    • are about to start a startup / spinoff

    • looking to explore new entrepreneurial career paths, whether in industry, entrepreneurship, or leadership roles.

Registration

  • Apply by 22 April, 2026 through the HeirloomLabs website: https://www.heirloomlabs.eu/researchpreneurmindset 
  • 3 UHasselt spots are available. Registration does not guarantee participation. After registration with your motivation, you will receive a link to book a 15-minute appointment with the trainers. This will be a selection interview to assess your fit with the program and to select participants.

This bootcamp allowed me to discover all aspects of entrepreneurial mindset by being surrounded with people who all share the same mindset. During the 48 hours, we got to know each other very fast, both on professional as personal level. As a result of the good selection procedure, every participant showed great interest and motivation in all topics during the complete 48 hours. This resulted in a very relaxed and comfortable environment to discover the mindset of other participants and speakers and at the same time, discover and develop your own entrepreneurial mindset.
