20th Freiberg Colloquium of Young Researchers

Building on the success of previous editions, this milestone anniversary brings together young researchers from across Europe to engage in interdisciplinary exchange, cutting-edge research discussions, and meaningful collaboration - all in the heart of one of Europe’s most storied mining and innovation regions.

Participants take part in a comprehensive programme including:

• training course on excellence research for sustainability
• excursions to high-level innovative institutions and companies
• networking and social events
• German crash course

The main language of the colloquium is English.

PhD students are invited to present their research, engage in discussions, and take part in an exclusive training course on excellence research for sustainability. Spots are limited - register early to secure your place!

PhD students from all EURECA-PRO partner universities are warmly invited to apply. To register your interest, please prepare the following documents:

• Motivation letter (200–300 words)
• Short CV
• Extended abstract of your presentation (250–300 words)

This event is part of a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) mobility, offering a unique opportunity for PhD students to engage in international collaboration and interdisciplinary research.

Participation in the PhD Journey is free for UHasselt PhD students. Admitted candidates can apply for travel and accommodation funding through the EURECA-PRO Outgoing Mobility programme.

Members of the EURECA-PRO Doctoral School can earn 4 credits attending this event.
