How logistics processes suit the needs of e-commerce? (Research)

This project aims to adapt the logistic services of SKF Logistics Services to the challenges required by the new market of e-commerce. Research and development should result in a logistic hybrid model that streamlines the logistic processes of SKF Tongeren in service of VSM (Vehicle Service Market) and e-commerce customers. This allows the site in Tongeren to anchor its position within the global group SKF. This integrated logistics model leads to a faster and more cost-efficient order picking process. This also involves research in the field of internal storage operation and in terms of the entire supply chain.
