Assignment to a cost efficient system of renting in home care (Research)
Abstract
In 2007, the system for providing manual wheelchairs to residents of residential care centres was reformed. A rental system replaced the former purchasing system. In the new system, residents can rent a manual wheelchair free of charge, for which the National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (RIZIV) pays a monthly rent. The purpose of this research assignment is analysing the cost efficiency of introducing a similar rental system for wheelchairs in home care.
