Project R-7701

Title

Active Blended Learning

Abstract

Two strategic objectives are central to this project (1) Strengthening the sustainable character of the internationalization of the program Nuclear Technology (NT) by embedding intense international CHERNE (cooperation for higher education on radiological and nuclear engineering) activities in a new electronic learning environment developed within the Erasmus+ project 'Blended learning in radiation protection and radio ecology' in which Hasselt University participates. In this way, the international bachelor thesis of the NT program and other future CHERNE activities can be presented in a more efficient manner with a minimum of resources. The combination of intensive international training sessions supported by an e-learning environment can be used in the future for international cooperation in the provision of (parts of) specialized courses. (2) Intensifying mobility and interaction between international and national students and teachers. This is done by involving students and teachers in international CHERNE activities by organizing an international study excursion in close cooperation with international CHERNE partners by arranging guest lectures by international professors at Hasselt University (in the context of the course "Selected Topics of Nuclear Technology"). The various activities are controlled by deliberation in various CHERNE meetings.
