Inovative education project (IOP): Transport Innovation Challenge: a collaborative innovation platform for civic challanges (Education)

The "Transport Innovation Challenge" is a course unit to be developed within the framework of the new Master of Transportation Sciences curriculum. The proposed project reaches across the course and program borders as a pilot project for a collaborative innovation platform. The student group (local, international and distance-learning students) along with the stakeholders (experts, governments, businesses) form an online community who map out and analyze civic challenges and develop creative solutions. The addition of civic challenges is the ideal method to include students in society while they are still at school. To further enhance the students' engagement, there is gamification.
