Participatory research project on the future of the 5 parish churches of Herk-de-Stad, and the drawing up of the church policy plan. (Research)

The city of Herk-de-Stad, in collaboration with Parcum, asks for an updated church policy plan, complete with a long term vision on the future of the five parish churches. The updated plan needs to find enough local support to make it feasible; which means that local communities (civilians, schools, civil society organizations), the city council, the pastoral team, the central church board, all church fabric committees and several supralocal organizations must be involved during the process. A participatory process with local communities, the city and some supralocal organizations constitutes the basis in which the church policy plan will be rooted. The plan will function as a strategic vision and it will be integrated in policy lines.
