Title

Development of synthetic routes towards new architectures for conjugated polymers for application in solar cells and biosensors. (Research)

Abstract

In polymer solar cells long term stability and the control of the 3-Dimensional nanoscale morphology of the active polymer layer is necessary in order to improve the efficiency of the polymer solar cells. In this work, Morphological stabilization of the active polymer layer will be achieved via photocrosslinking of the polymer. For that purpose ,synthesis and characterization of copolymers based on Poly-3-hexylthiophene with different functional side chains will be our interest in this research. Finally, solar cells out of those polymers will be prepared and the efficiency of them will be examined. Also, the possibility of using them as biosensor will be studied.
